AtSkool provides clear advice on which insurance policies are required or recommended for your stay in Mexico, and where you can easily arrange them. This ensures you are well covered and can travel with peace of mind.
Important: Because Mexico is located outside Europe, your Dutch health insurance does not offer full or adequate coverage for a longer stay or study program. Medical treatment, hospital care, specialist services, or emergency transportation back to the Netherlands can be costly. Some programs or educational institutions in Mexico may also require specific types of additional insurance.
A specialized student or travel insurance policy often provides broader and more suitable coverage. AtSkool therefore advises you to carefully check what your current insurance does and does not cover, and to take out supplementary insurance if needed. This helps you avoid unexpected expenses and ensures you are fully prepared for your AtSkool program in Mexico.
