Your monthly budget therefore depends on the number of weeks, the city where you stay (such as Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza, or Rosario), and what is included in your accommodation.

How does our calculation work?
AtSkool uses a transparent, careful, and practical method to determine your monthly costs in Argentina as realistically as possible.
- First, we look at the program you are following. High School programs often include fixed components such as accommodation, meals, and supervision. With language trips and study programs, this varies per package — the more that is included, the lower your personal expenses will be.
- Next, we analyze your destination within Argentina. Buenos Aires is a large, vibrant city with higher costs for transportation and activities. Cities such as Córdoba, Rosario, and Mendoza are generally more affordable and often offer a more budget-friendly lifestyle.
- We then consider the duration of your stay. A short program (e.g., 2–4 weeks) has different cost patterns compared to a full semester or academic year. The longer you stay, the more accurately we can estimate your average monthly budget.
- Your type of accommodation also plays an important role: host family, student residence, campus housing, or apartment. Host families often provide multiple meals per day, while apartments or shared student housing offer more independence — and therefore typically higher daily expenses.
- In addition, we include up-to-date local prices for groceries, transportation (such as metro, bus, or taxi), sports, dining out, school materials, excursions, and personal expenses. Argentina is known for being affordable, but prices can vary by neighborhood and fluctuate due to economic conditions.
- Finally, we base our cost estimates on real experiences from previous AtSkool students who have lived in Argentina. Their actual monthly expenses provide an honest and realistic picture of what students typically spend per city and per program.
