Costs
AtSkool always provides clear monthly cost advice for your chosen destination.
We take into account the program you select — whether you’re going on a language trip, a High School Year, or a study program. The city you choose also plays a major role. Costs depend on the number of weeks, the type of accommodation, and the region within America.

How does our calculation work?
AtSkool uses a fixed and reliable method to predict your costs as accurately as possible.
- First, we look at the program you are following: a language trip, High School, or a study program. Each program has a different basic structure and different costs that are already included.
- Next, we analyze your destination within America. Major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, or Boston are more expensive than mid-sized or smaller cities like Denver, Tampa, or Minneapolis.
- We then consider the length of your stay: a few weeks, a semester, or a full year. The longer you stay, the more stable and accurate we can estimate the average monthly costs.
- The type of accommodation also plays a role: will you stay with a host family, on campus, in student housing, or in an apartment? Each option comes with a different cost structure.
Finally, we include up-to-date pricing information, local living costs, and insights from previous AtSkool students in the same region.
Based on all these factors, we determine a realistic, personalized, and transparent monthly budget estimate — so you know exactly what to expect before you leave.
