AtSkool provides clear advice on which insurance policies are required or recommended for your stay in Canada, and where you can easily arrange them. This ensures you are well covered and can travel with peace of mind.
Important: Because Canada is outside Europe, your Dutch health insurance does not offer full or adequate coverage for a longer stay or study program. Medical treatment, hospital care, specialist services, or emergency transportation back to the Netherlands can be expensive. Some schools or programs in Canada may also require specific types of insurance.
A specialized student or travel insurance policy often offers broader and more suitable coverage. AtSkool therefore advises you to carefully check what your current insurance does and does not cover, and to take out additional insurance if needed.
